#207 - Blondies and a Hot Tub

Another day into the studio was in the works for today.

My back felt much better after another night sleeping on the floor, that was until I took my seat on the train and the pain instantly returned.

On the bright side, traffic to the studio was minimal, and we snagged a sweet parking spot right up front. The train arrived a few minutes later, and we both got seats. The seating was a little too cramped for writing, and I was experiencing back pain. Instead, I chose to concentrate my mind on keeping my posture in a position that did not exacerbate my back pain.

And that seemed to work out fairly well.

The walk to work was well needed and the temperature as great for walking. The very heavy backpack I was carrying was not helping with the back issues, but I had some beverages, my lunch and laptop all in tow as well as my kindle. There’s at least fifteen pounds in that bag.

But lunch was the last of the Ruby Chicken, and I wasn’t passing up on that. I brought two new beverages to try out. A cherry Pellegrino, which wasn’t terrible, and a Perrier Pina Colada, which I liked very much. All non-alcoholic, of course.

Work was good. We had some more client approvals and internal approvals on the look of the show, and we were able to start assigning work out to the painters, confident in the new direction.

I spent a good portion of my day making sure I was sitting in a way that did not re-injure my back and the rest of the time reworking some paintings into the new style.

Not soon enough, it was time to head home, and we opted to take the streetcar to give us more time. We managed to board the five twenty train, and both got seats, but not together this time. I was crammed into a corner and had no room to bring out the laptop, so I sat with my eyes closed for a bit and then read some stories on my Kindle.

Another day of the reading streak accomplished. I also remembered to drink some AG1 supplement today as well. I find I am more likely to drink it at work than at home. The impetus to drink it was the feeling that my body needed vegetables. Drinking the AG1 makes that sensation go away, likely because it has all the vitamins and minerals my body is seeking.

And I knew I wasn’t eating healthy tonight, because I had preordered two pizzas from Blondies to be delivered to our friend’s house for Survivor, Pizza, Hot Tub night.

I decided to watch the entire episode this time, not wanting to open my laptop. It was a particularly good episode with lots of twists and turns. The pizza was great and the hot tub was even better. My aching back loved every second it spent in those warm frothy waters.

Back home we decided to watch one episode of “The Boys,” on Prime and then to bed early. We were both tired and yawning before we even put the tv on.

So, I’ll keep this post short again tonight and spend the energy on spme restorative floor sleep and hope my back pain disappears in the night.

Night all.
