#223 - Birthdays and Socks

A quick post to keep the streak alive.

After sleeping in and a light breakfast in bed from Robyn, I headed outside to cut the lawn and do some gardening before the rain started.

Our friends Laura and Paul stopped by briefly to say hello and drop of some things. But it was soon time to get ready for the evening’s entertainment.

We drove in the rain and busy highway to a Jack Astor’s restaurant to celebrate Robyn’s oldest friends Birthday. Alison and her boyfriend were already there when we arrived.

Another friend of Alison’s, Kimie, gave everyone a loot bag. Mine had some football themed socks and Robyn’s had some bubble gum scented exfoliant scrub cubes.

Dinner was good and then Kimmie made the staff bring out a red velvet birthday cake.

During this time, I got a photo of my friend John holding the writing book I’d had sent to his house. He had a big smile on his face in the picture. By ten it was time to head home and both Robyn and I were so exhausted we headed straight up to the bedroom.

We watched a couple of episodes of Netflix’s “Man on Fire.” I enjoyed the first two episodes, and we’ll likely watch another episode tomorrow.

It’s late, around one thirty AM, and I am ready for bed.

So, I’ll bid you all goodnight.
