#229 - Back in the Groove and the Woods
Share
Sleeping was very welcomed this morning.
I started the morning by doing a tour of my back garden and enjoying the sunlight. Then it was time to get to work. My supervisor was off for the day, and the studio chatter was quiet. Which suited me just fine as I had lots to do and having no distractions only helps me get things done.
I felt like I was getting into the groove today and it’s been months since I felt that way. I started to enjoy what I was doing. Before I knew it the clock was saying it was noon.
Robyn and I drove over to the provincial park and bought the yearly parking pass. The we took our first walk in the wooded trail for the year. And boy, was it so nice to be back under the trees and in a more natural setting. There weren’t enough leaves in the tree canopies to give us enough shade from the sun, but a cool breeze blew and kept me refreshed. By the end it was starting to feel hot and I loved it, while Robyn didn’t. She prefers the cooler weather.
Back home my ultrasonic animal repellers had arrived from Amazon. I set them out in the sun to charge up.
Then it was back to work again, this time I had the movie Nuremberg on, I’d started it yesterday and painted my heart out.
Again, I was surprised when the clock read five thirty, but I was also please that the start of the long weekend had arrived. I went outside and set up the ultrasonic emitters and then headed to the back deck to do some reading about the Canadian Security Information Services. My next writing project will have a character that is in the service.
On the first page there was lingo I knew I could use and the following pages told me things about the service that I hadn’t known. All good info to add like spice into my story.
I continued to read until we settled down to watch some television.
It felt like a really long week and I am very happy to have a three-day weekend.
Night all.
