At the Pool. Twice.

The assignment I received from my mentor for this week is all about writing sensory detail. Si, she had me go to a local indoor pool and perform some descriptive sensory writing exercises.

Next, I have to write a non-fiction piece based on my visit to the pool. 

I arrived at the pool at around 3pm. 

It was closed. No times were posted by the door or on their website.

Waiting around seemed like a waste of time, so I went home and returned around 5:30pm. Sure enough it was open to receive the after school swim lessons.

There was a great second level viewing area equipped with aluminum stadium style benches. I took a seat, whipped out my laptop and got to work. The warm and humid air was very enjoyable on this cold December day.

Overall, it was a pleasant way to spend an hour doing writing stuff.
