It's Been Raining All Day

The started off great. Breakfast at our local greasy spoon, Mel's. We were even picked up by our friends and driven there. They have an nice avocado toast on their menu that comes with a large bowl of fruit. So the food was good and the company was great.
We skipped our afternoon walk in the woods due tp the weather. It's amazing how much I miss that stroll through a natural setting when I don't get to have it.
I spent the rest of the day going through a short story that needed a fair bit of fixing. One thing I am noticing s I go through the stories I wrote last year for the Story a Week Challenge, is that I didn't cycle back through the text as I was writing. Mostly because I waited to the last minute to start writing the story. Usually just three or four hours before the deadline.
On the positive side, it has helped men develop a revision process that is very useful and feels more like cycling than traditionally revision.
Later in the afternoon the rain stopped for about half an hour, so I ran outside and took an azalea plant from our garden, repotted it into a pot, and brought inside for the winter. I have a couple of LED growth lights on order and am interested to see if the Azalea and a Begonia I also brought in will survive.
the sky is still grey outside my window and the rain is tapping against the window panes.
A perfect day to make a cup of tea and curl up with a good book.
