Trying Something New

I like to think of myself as a foodie.
I've never tried Konjac noodles until tonight. Their claim to fame being that they have almost no calories to speak of. Which seemed like it might be a great replacement for pasta.
And it was. The texture of the noodle probably suits more Asian style cuisines, but I had mine with some semi gussied-up tomato sauce. Or gravy as the Italians call it, at least the ones on the Sopranos.
Gussied Sauce is where you take a jar of perfectly fine pasta sauce and add in more vegetables, meats or cheeses. Or all of the above.
Needles to say, my sauce was gussied and my noodles were calorie free if not a little on the chewy side. Not that I minded.
Anyways, if I don't get disaster pants tomorrow, did I forget to mention konjac is made from a grain and very, very full of fiber. Like depth-charge full of fiber. Then I'll make it again one day.
