What Are You Reading This Week?

I picked up an old copy of 'Partners in Wonder' from Abebooks.

The concept of the book is: Harlan Ellison collaborates with some of his contemporaries to write short stories. Harlan is paired up with people like Theodore Sturgeon, Roger Zelazny, Algis Burgis, Robert Sheckley and more.

I purchased this mainly for the oddly named story 'I See A Man Sitting On A Chair, And The Chair Is Biting His Leg' which  Harlan co-authored with Robert Sheckley.

Alright, so the title doesn't roll off the tongue, but come on, how can you not read a story with a name like that?

I searched this title out as part of a writing class I was taking, where the instructor mentioned this title as an example of writing an off the rails story idea.

This book came out around 1972 by Avon Publishing. It's always amazing to read something from years past and still see how fresh and relatable the stories are.

I'm looking forward to diving into a few more of these stories over the next few days.
